Danhostel Fredericia offers you your very own setting for meetings and courses

Scenic, bright, spacious

Danhostel Fredericia has Denmark’s largest sports centre and play park right outside the door. Inside, there are training facilities and common areas with scenic views.

The first thing that catches your eye at Danhostel Fredericia is the view. It overlooks a protected nature area with a lake, meadows and trees. It’s possible to organise both meetings and courses here, with or without accommodation.

“We have two meeting rooms with projectors and two training rooms with a smartboard, sound system and induction loop. In total, we have room for 80 guests across two rooms,” says Torben Ottesen, owner of Danhostel Fredericia, which also offers various catering options.

“There are different packages including breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee. If you want to stay all day or overnight, we serve a two-course dinner in the evening with a sweet treat. Fruit and water are also included throughout your stay. And if you need a different type of catering, we are of course always ready to create an individual solution,” he says.
Common room with a fireplace and beautiful views
The interior at Danhostel Fredericia is characterised by stylish furniture, high ceilings and warm natural colours. This applies to both the rooms, which can accommodate 1–4 people, and the common areas.

“During the winter months, the communal lounge with its fireplace and breathtaking lake views is a popular place to meet before or after an inspiring day. In summer, people often end up sitting on the high terrace right outside the door, for example with a coffee or a drink before dinner,” says Torben Ottesen.

Neighbour to Denmark’s largest sports centre
Whether you visit Danhostel Fredericia for one day or more, there are plenty of opportunities to incorporate physical activity into your programme.

“We are neighbours to Denmark’s largest sports centre, boasting a water park, paddle tennis, bowling, shooting ranges and a fitness centre. In fact, all guests will receive a ticket to the swimming pool and waterpark, as well as unlimited access to the fitness centre. We are also close to an 18-hole golf course. Many people also go for a walk or run in the park outside before, between or after the day’s meetings,” Torben Ottesen points out.

Mini golf and a mini city
Just outside the door is Madsbyparken, which has the country’s largest play park.

“You can play mini golf or try the Tarzan course. There are various activities available during the summer. It’s also a mini city that is a faithful replica of the fortress town of Fredericia in 1849 in a scale of 1:10. All this and only a 10-minute drive to the centre of Fredericia, the harbour and the ramparts if you’re extra hungry for more culture and experiences”, the hotel owner points out.
